Gradient Colouring for Values – when many values are returned it can be difficult to see which are the significant values; by applying colour the highest & lowest values stand out more

Gradient Colouring for Members – when there are members of different levels on the row & column axes, making use of colour to show different levels is useful

Conditional Formatting – this exists in Excel, but can be handy to have in the report/view creation

Member Naming Options – just having the name of the member can lead to confusion if the member name is not unique, e.g. “Q4”; so being able to append the parent or all ancestors can help, e.g. “2002 Q4”

Member Properties – when a particular store is chosen in the slicer dimension it can be useful to have the member properties that go with it, such as contact details

Ranking – for example, returning the top ten selling stores

Report Templates – to be able to present the data in a particular style

Decomposition of a Number – to be able to take a certain aggregate number in a slice & to explore its composition, e.g. a store may have a value of 1,000 sales & to be able to explore what were the main products sold that make up this total

Display Numbers as Percentages – presentation of the query not just as the values from the cube but as a percentage of the row, column or page aggregate

Display Numbers as Charts – to be able to show data not only in a tabular form, but also as a chart

Display Data Geographically – to be able to colour code a map according to the geographical data in a cube, with preferably the option to drill down/up on the maps themselves
